How to Become a Real Estate Appraiser in Arkansas

In Arkansas, the Arkansas Appraiser Licensing Certification Board handles real estate appraisal licensing.

Arkansas Real Estate Appraiser Trainee

Basic Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and submit a completed application
Training Requirements: None
Education Requirements: 75 hours of qualifying education courses.

Arkansas State Licensed Real Estate Appraiser

Basic Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and submit a completed application
Training Requirements: 2,000 hours of experience in no fewer than 12 months
Education Requirements: 75 hours of qualifying education courses and 30 semester hours of college level courses or an Associate’s degree or higher.

Arkansas Certified Residential Appraiser

Basic Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and submit a completed application
Training Requirements: 2,500 hours of experience in no fewer than 24 months
Education Requirements: 125 hours of qualifying education courses; a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university is required.

Arkansas Certified General Appraiser

Basic Requirements: Must be 18 years or older and submit a completed application

Education Requirements: 225 hours of qualifying education courses; a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university is required.
