The Kentucky Real Estate Appraisers Board certifies, licenses and registers real estate appraisers to perform real estate appraisals. You must get the Associate Appraiser License to obtain the experience hours that qualify you to take the test for licensed, certified, and certified general licenses. Unique to Kentucky is the requirement to possess at least a bachelor’s degree for the licensing level, whereas other states impose such a requirement for certification. The required time to gain the 2,500 experience hours for licensing is 24 months, which is the same for certification and among the highest of the rest of the states.
