The Minnesota Department of Commerce handles appraisal licensing. Minnesota is one of the few states with a lower minimum time requirement to obtain the necessary experience hours for licensing. The 2,000 experience hours can be obtained in 12 months. Many states require the hours to be obtained in no less than 18-24 months.
